Welcome to The Art of Hmong Embroidery – a blog dedicated to the art of Hmong needlework and traditional Hmong attire.

I have been practicing Hmong needlework for over 25 years, starting when I was just six or seven. I can’t think of anything else in my life that I learned at such a young age that still peaks my interest. Like many young Hmong girls, I was taught by my mom, who was taught by her mom, which is the way it has been for ages. I continue this tradition by teaching my daughter in the hopes that she will in turn teach it to her children someday.

If you are like me, passionate about what seems to be a dying tradition, are looking for some fresh new Hmong needlework ideas, or wanting to collaborate and share with others, you have come to the right place – subscribe to my blog!

You can also find me on Facebook, Google+, Twitter, YouTube, and Pinterest!
